San Jose Del Cabo is the older and more refined of the two towns of Cabos and is a great location to get away from the crowds. Enjoy an afternoon on the anchor around the small island, home to hundreds of sea lions. Look out over the magnificient deep blues of the Sea of Cortez before, if you’re feeling brave, diving amongst the large animals, known for being comfortable with divers. Bearby, the islands of Espiritu Santo and Partida a re separated by the crater of Caleta Partida, making for some fascinating underwater topography. The islands are an ecological preserve and home to many varieties of tropical fish, bird life flora and fauna that can only be found there. Toward the inside of the cove two white sand spits come together to form a beautiful array of deep blue to turquoise coloured water. Explore the rugged coastline’s spectacular caves, and while away the hours kayaking, kiteboarding and jet skiing.
